Arsenal Derby Day

On Saturday the 7th of February Arsenal played their derby against Tottenham Hotspur. Alexis Sanchez was due to miss the derby because of a hamstring problem. Alexis Sanchez has scored 18 goals for Arsenal this season. Just behind him is Olivier Giroud with 8 goals then Santi Cazorla with 7 goals. The English striker Danny Welbeck has recovered from his thigh injury as he has not played since the 28th of December but was in the starting 11 on Saturday.

The match got off to a great start for Arsenal they played well and made lots of quick counter attacks.Ozil scored a brilliant goal with a successful finish into the back of the net past Lloris. Ozil's goal secured Arsenal the lead at half time. Welbeck had an argument just before half time with Rose which continued after the whistle blew for half time. But overall Tottenham Hotspur were dominating in possession. Tottenham Hotspur Came back fiercely.With Kane scoring two goals. Arsenal weakened after the first goal. The fulltime whistle blew and Arsenal fans were devastated.
